officer-cadre-3

What We Hope to Achieve

We will advocate for our members on labour and employment issues directly with central authorities including the Commissioner of the RCMP. We will pursue legislative, policy or administrative improvements on matters related to labour relations, human resource processes, leadership development and the health and wellness of the officer cadre.

We will continue pursuing a framework for collective bargaining for the majority of the commissioned officers by engaging experienced professionals.

Private Legal Representation
NPCOPA members in good standing who are subject of an internal investigation and not covered by the Government of Canada’s policy on Legal Assistance and Indemnification are allowed to apply for private legal representation from our self-funded legal contingency account. Kindly note, you must be a NPCOPA member before the alleged incident in question in order to qualify.

If you have ever been subject of an internal administrative process or felt your own self-interests were not being fully addressed, access to this legal fund provides you some peace of mind.
